Active member and Impaneled under Swachh Bharat Mission and Survekshan by Government of India, April 2016
As a need for society to find its comfort with clean and green environment campaign, Mr.Prashar took voluntary retirement from T-Series after 30 long years of dedicated service and decided to be a part of Swachh Bharat Mission as an active member. He joined organizations like Smart Enviro Systems and Bapu Nature Cure Hospital and Yoga to closely connect with people. Participated in campaigns to encourage citizens out of all the cause that aims to clean our environment by picking up the niche segment i.e. Waste Decomposting.
In April 2016, Mr. Prashar got impaneled under Swachh Bharat Mission, government of India. Alongwith attending conferences and active social participation, he understood the need of waste decentralised composting system aggressively and achieving success. “Being an active member, of Swachh Bharat Mission it’s my priority to start from home”, says Prashar and hence inaugurated and installed a waste decomposer at his very own native place in Himachal Pradesh.

Senior Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed environmental consultant for 17 years in USA in waste management, treatment, disposal and waste-to-energy technologies, working at Hampton/NASA Steam Plant, Hampton USA - a symbiotic Waste-to-Energy venture between NASA’s Langley Research Center, and Govt. of City of Hampton, Virginia. Provided leadership in renewable energy systems design, plant engineering and management, environmental audits of Federal Title V Air permit for air pollution control, Municipal Solid Waste permit for waste processing, ash treatment and disposal, and wastewater discharge permit of State Govt.
Serving as Director, PARAM Environmental Services, an air pollution control and prevention technologies and environmental engineering and Consultancy Company registered with Dep. of Energy, USA for providing Novel and Enabling Carbon Capture Transformational Technologies. Served as Member, State Advisory Board on Air Pollution, Virginia USA. Research and consultancy fields include innovative thermal treatment of municipal solid waste (MSW) for energy and biofuels, carbon-free energy, biofuels engineering, and wastewater treatment, environmental audits, analysis and reporting to States and Federal Governments.
An IIT Roorkee alumnus, Anil Mehrotra also studied environmental management at Harvard University, USA, Environmental economics and project and infrastructure management at Bauhaus Weimar University, Germany, holds an advanced engineering certificate in Energy Systems from ODU, USA and Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) license from American Academy of Environmental Engineering and Sciences, USA. He has provided consultancy in renewable energy regulations, Clean Air Act (CAA), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulations, Municipal Solid Waste Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Superfund and Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA Tier II), Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC), and also teaches at local college and university as adjunct professor in various environmental subjects, e.g., air quality, waste management regulations and pollution prevention technologies. He previously had over 30 years of experience as manager and consultant in conventional coal power plants energy systems and technologies in India and abroad.
